She worked as a model before making her screen debut in Richard Lester's film The Knack ...and How to Get It. She is best known for her performances in movies like Vanishing Point (1971), her portrayal of Ann Boleyn in Henry VIII and His Six Wives (1972), a woman in love with a chimpanzee in Max, Mon Amour (1986) and her role as a concentration camp survivor in The Night Porter (1974).
